Based on recent customer feedback.

Working with Stewart and Carmel has been outstanding. They guided us through our fire strategy with real dedication. Stewart was exceptional from the start, always finding solutions where others only saw problems. He stayed positive, proactive, and committed through every challenge. Carmel was equally supportive. They are skilled, reliable, and genuinely lovely people to deal with. I would recommend them as a first choice.

The process could not have been more straightforward and the help and advice that Stewart gave us was very much appreciated. I can think of no way that this could have been improved and I will have no hesitation in recommending your services to others in the area!

We hired Stewart Adamson to carry out a fire risk assessment for our small business office and were thoroughly impressed. He was professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly. His detailed report was easy to follow, with practical recommendations we could implement quickly. Stewart was also friendly, punctual, and genuinely cared about our safety. Highly recommended for any small business needing reliable fire safety advice.

Stew Adamson approach to the fire risk assessment was refreshing taking the time to talk to the business owner to understand the use of the building first. Pragmatic and professional approach giving constructive but useful feedback and comments which I am pleased to say all points have been actioned upon. Would definitely recommend as honest company.

How it works

A clear path from enquiry to sign-off.

No mystery, no disruption you didn’t expect. Four steps, and you always know what happens next.

  1. 01

    Enquiry

Tell us about your building and what’s prompting the assessment: a deadline, an enforcement notice, an insurer or lease requirement, or a change of use. We respond within 24 hours.

  2. 02

    Site visit

We get to know the building and the people who use it, not just a checklist. How it’s actually used, how it’s built, and where the real risk sits.

  3. 03

    Report

You receive a clear, prioritised and defensible report: proportionate actions ranked by risk, written to stand up to the enforcing authority, your insurer and building control.

  4. 04

    Ongoing support

We stay available to explain findings, support your engagement with regulators, and help you act on the recommendations at a sensible pace.

Everyone remained safe and compliant, while the operational and emotional impact of unnecessary full evacuations was reduced.

FAQ

Questions we hear before you buy.

Still unsure? Call 023 8225 0164. No obligation.

Do I legally need a fire risk assessment?

If you’re responsible for non-domestic premises or the common parts of a multi-occupied residential building, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment. Where you have five or more employees, it must be recorded. We help you meet that duty proportionately.

How quickly can you attend?

We respond to every enquiry within 24 hours, and we can move quickly on urgent cases such as an enforcement notice or an insurer or completion deadline. Where the situation has demanded it, we’ve completed a site visit, advice and report inside 24 hours.

Will you recommend work I don’t actually need?

No. We give proportionate, defensible advice that balances the safety of people and the building against cost and how the building is used. Several clients came to us precisely because they wanted clear direction, not a list of headline-grabbing capital works.

What standards do you work to?

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, PAS 79 methodology, the Fire Safety Act 2021 and the Building Safety Act 2022, applied with real fire-service enforcement experience. Our assessors are on the National Fire Risk Assessors Register at Advanced Level, the highest competency tier.

Do you cover my type of building?

We work across commercial, care and healthcare, education and SEN, housing, events, and charitable and public-sector settings, from small offices to complex, higher-risk buildings. If you’re not sure, ask us.

Where do you operate?

We’re Southampton-based and work UK-wide, with regular coverage across the South Coast, London and the wider South, plus central Scotland around Edinburgh and Glasgow. Wherever your premises are, get in touch.
